TDW proudly announces auditions for Swing!

March 8 and 10, 2005 at 7:00 p.m
Auditions held at the Westwood United Methodist Church at the corner of Epworth and Urwiler Avenues – just two blocks from the Westwood Town Hall.
Swing! is a Broadway style musical event celebrating song and dance in the 20th century. The Drama Workshop will be performing the local community theater premiere of this incredible show.
Swing! requires:
Vocalists: 2 female, 3 male vocalists to sing a variety of 1940's, swing-era music. Ages 18+, all types and ethnicities.
Please prepare 16 bars of an up tempo song and 16 bars of a ballad. Standard 1930's and 1940's songs from composers such as Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, and the Gershwins are preferred. Please, no contemporary Broadway selections.
Accompanist and CD/Tape Player provided.
Dancers: Mix of dancers to do a wide variety of partner and swing dancing. Ages 13+. Prior swing dance experience helpful but not necessary. Come to auditions dressed comfortably and ready to dance!
Show Dates: June 9, 10, 11, 12 2005 at the newly renovated Westwood Town Hall
